REQUEST Service (404) 275-9926Serious Mechanical Work
Porsche repair and rebuilding in Norcross.
Some work goes beyond a service. A tired engine, a failing gearbox, a major leak or a mechanical fault that keeps coming back no matter how many times it’s “fixed”, these are the jobs where specialist judgment and in-house capability matter most, and where a generalist can do real damage.
RS Motorwerks has provided Porsche repair and rebuilding services to owners since 2004. We service all Porsche models from 1948 to present, with unique expertise in classic air-cooled models. Whatever the job, we start the same way: diagnose the real cause, agree the scope with you, and do the work in-house. Nothing gets shipped off to a third party and lost between the diagnosis and the repair.
That single line of accountability, from the first inspection to the final road test, is what protects the performance, reliability and long-term value of the car. You deal with the people doing the work, start to finish.
Big Work
When it’s more than maintenance
A few signs that a car has crossed from routine service into repair or rebuild territory, and needs a proper look rather than another patch.
Loss of power or compression
A drop in performance that a service won’t restore usually points to something deeper inside the engine.Persistent leaks
Oil that keeps returning after seals and gaskets have been replaced often signals bigger wear behind them.Transmission trouble
Grinding, slipping, noise or a poor shift that means more than a simple adjustment can fix.Recurring faults
A problem that keeps coming back after repeated repairs is a sign the real cause was never found.High mileage / long lay-up
Cars that have covered big miles, or sat unused for years, often need rebuild-level attention to be dependable again.Major noise or vibration
Sounds and vibrations that point to internal mechanical damage, and shouldn’t be driven on.WHY RS MOTORWERKS

Common Questions
Porsche repair and rebuilding FAQ
Do you handle both repairs and full rebuilds?
Yes. Depending on what the inspection shows, we’ll recommend a targeted repair or a full rebuild, and explain the reasoning either way. The aim is the fix that lasts, not the one that’s quickest to bill.
Repair or rebuild, how do you decide?
It follows the evidence. We diagnose the real condition first, then recommend the option that actually holds up, rather than the cheapest short-term patch that brings the car straight back.
Do I deal with one shop, or does the work get sent out?
One shop. Diagnosis, repair and rebuild work are handled in-house, so you deal with the people doing the work and nothing gets lost between hands.
Which models do you work on?
We service all Porsche models from 1948 to present, with unique expertise in classic air-cooled models. Contact us with your model, year and concerns so we can plan the appropriate inspection and repair.
How long does major work take?
It depends on scope, parts availability and schedule, and rushing rebuild work is how mistakes happen. We’ll give you a realistic estimate once the car has been evaluated.
